Default Delaware River fishing

Haven’t posted in a while because my fishing time was cut short all through the summer due to personal events. My little guy started full time school so I’ve been making up for lost time. All mid day fishing. River is really low and clear. Can’t make the runs to areas I usually fish but there is plenty of water on the Delaware to explore still. Started off towards the middle-end of September taking care of my musky addiction. Action packed harvest moon week of Four fish hooked two in the net. Hung a beauty high on the outside of the net and she popped off, the perils of netting a musky in current solo. Hooked another in the 8 boat side that popped off on me. I have been really enjoying the smallmouth fishing and picking up the occasional walleye or fallfish along the way. A musky reminded me yesterday that I had forgotten about them and smoked my spinnerbait leading to a bite off. I watched it come up and shake its head, sending my spinnerbait flying back into the river. That sight made me feel better about losing the fish. I feel horrible when I think one is swimming around with a bait still in its mouth.
