Colder water means fish need to move deep to be in water that’s comfortable to them .
Tons of inshore structure spread out the fish .
Less structure offshore concentrates the fish , and causes competition for the available food .
So while the bite slows down due to colder water, the bites from competition are usually more agressive .
I really enjoy catching them under 40’ , as IMO they fight twice as hard from start to finish not getting baratrauma .
