Congrats on the maiden voyage buddy. Sounds like an awesome day.

It was confluence to confluence, meaning pretty much started on the Lamington to where it meets the N branch to the confluence with the S branch.
It was quantity over quality today, that's ok because Luke said he caught all the big ones a few weeks ago. Lucky to have a nice SMB population on local waters. Water seemed pretty clean, although I always thought that the North Branch ran much clearer in years past, I dunno. The Banana boat ran fine, a little "tippy" but once we both found our center of gravity we were fine. That is the trade off for a smaller lighter canoe I guess, the old battlewagon was very stable but very very heavy. We bumped and scraped at a few places and also had to get out and walk at a few spots. Bugs weren't that bad today.
Best way to sum up the day is in numbers-

Hours fished/floated-5
SMB landed 30+ or-
SMB hooked, lost 20+or-
Bald eagles spotted- 8
Osprey spotted- 2
Cormorant- 1
Kingfisher-1
Owl- 2
Other anglers seen-4
Others boats- 1
Tires pulled- 2
Tires left behind-4

This fishing will hold up through mid September, still have to get on the S branch as well as main stem in the coming months.
