Kicked things off this holiday weekend on Good Friday. Had off of work so I started with the a trout trip in the streams. Water levels were just a tick up and flowing nice. Plenty of fish around in the skinny water and deep pools to be had. Kept a limit for my buddy at work. The usual stickie with a bigger 18-19” in the mix one of the last holes downriver I hit.

Saturday met up with Eddie to get what might be my final lick of crappies this spring. Met at the big lake buzzed out and came across three spots before we found what we were looking for. Nice big healthy slabs! Jig n bobber a did the trick for us. Wind kicked up and we went on search mode again but nothing and called it early with a few fish kept for the fryer.

Sunday flew back out solo to check on the night life. Got out to the first spot had 11eyes. 8 landed and three misses. Bounced around trying to get outta the wind donated a few lures with the wind cranking had to beem close to 30… so I bailed early in the short two hour trip. Not a bad start to spring fishing so far let’s hope it keeps up and gets even better. Good luck if your headed out guys,
