Went fishing 🎣 in 56 degrees Carnegie Lake this evening on a cool, sunny day with a strong west wind. More than 20 other fishermen were there. That’s way too many. I threw out old, slimy canned, whole kernel corn for chum, then caught and released a 10” white perch while ultralight jigging with two lb test line. Hooked a big carp with corn 🌽 bait on my brother John’s Shakespeare Alpha 50 spinning outfit but it swam into a downed tree, broke my 20 lb test line and escaped with my rig. Just before I quit, I caught and released a 14” brown brown bullhead and 14” white catfish simultaneously on two different corn 🌽 rods.
