Made the run up north this weekend bolted up to fish for the day Saturday with scoward & my bosses son james. On the river at 3:30 am holding our grounds patiently waiting for the sun to come up. We started off mid river trying to stay ahead of the big push of cohos that came thru the day before down low. We hooked a few up there but not a ton. Guys in the shallow stuffdownriver made it tough for the fish to run so we looked else where. Took a ride to a nearby creek saw a few dead ones and one live one. Shot back to the river and went to a old stopping ground spot and found em good coming through the hole. Hooked a bunch lost a bunch close to fifteen hookups for myself with a few hos that snapped the 8 lb leader. James was able to stick his first king pretty cool to watch the kid. Looking forward to the big trip up with the crew in a few weeks.
