9/10/2022 - another successful Central Jersey Stream Team cleanup on the South Branch of the Raritan in Somerset County from Clawson Avenue to Studdiford Drive (a bit over 2 miles). The weather was great and the water was crystal clear. Even though we’ve done this stretch multiple times, we still keep finding more.
With 9 (and a half) volunteers we managed to pull out 29 tires (2 were large tractor tires), an office chair, a fancy bar stool, two large pool floats, a grill, a long PVC pipe, parts of a small vehicle, random bits of metal and plastic, some Ganesh, and about 15 bags of smaller trash. Thank you to the Somerset County Park Commission Park Rangers for trash disposal.
