Barnegat Bay weekend Stripers
We took the boat out Saturday morning to the area that was hot two weeks ago. It was flat calm and looked dead. Decided to to a long drift making alot casts. Got lucky and had a pack of Bass start busting Bunker 20 ft behind us that I thought were Bluefish. My friend landed one that measured 29 inches and I got one a little smaller before they disappeared. We kept at it for awhile got a couple bumps but that was it. Sunday it was more of the same long drifts alot of casting. Had a nice size fish follow and turn away at the boat then we got two small fish and dropped a couple before we left after the sun came up.
