Sandy hook reef is 1.4 miles off the beach

Manasquan is 1.7 miles off the beach

Axel Carlson is 2.1 miles off the beach
.
Fished all of them out of a 14’ with a 30HP.

IMO. The inlets are the dangerous part in bad weather , not the distance out
