Re: New Trailer
I would not recommend buying a Tidewater trailer. I bought one new last summer and the fifth time I launched/retrieved my boat somehow the screws attaching the bunks to the brackets came out and the bracket bent over. Tidewater initially refused to honor the warranty (two year) as they believed I must have run the boat into the trailer under power and that was the cause. But I never once did that, the boat was hand winched onto the bunks every one of the five times. Eventually they agreed to cover half of the cost to replace the bent brackets and missing hardware (total cost with labor was $200+). But I’ve lost confidence in the trailer and am probably going to replace it.
