Took the son out to the river to get some exercise.
. First spot i wanted to hit was blocked off so did some exploring. Found a decent area and fished it pretty well. Covered alot of ground and was able to come up with 1 smallie about 13 / 14 inches. My son landed a buck shad on a swim shad. Go figure. We were fishing way north of the gap. Did a little more exploring but didn't come up with any more fish. Funny thing was on the way home passed by the gap and everything was shut down; barricades up at all the parking areas, even the boat launch. They were open friday though, go figure. Be safe out there everyone.
