Sorry for late report...... The river really lit up this weekend.
Only got to fish a few hours Saturday.
The fish bit from the time we started until we left. You know you were busy when your sub and some "coca-colas" are still in the cooler when you get back to the dock
I will give it a 50 50 split on Wonder Rig and Jigging Rig catches. 3 of us with30 + fish easy. Stopped counting.
I will say once again that our biggest fish at 21 inches was on the WR..... Not many fish on the jig and gulp.....they were however destroying the teaser.... I went back to an old river favorite that in my opinion best imitates the grass shrimp these fish are gorging themselves on.....The smallest (two inch?) gulp squids. Gotta Git Jiggy Wit It !!!
Had reports from Sunday that made me cry !!!! the bigguns came out to play....... I heard of several fish in 4 to 5 pound class and the EIGHT pounder DUPES had taken from 10 feet of water.
A few of our fat belly fish were also loaded with blue claw shedders.
Great trip with good crew.
