The Sasquatch Militia hit the big puddle for the inaugural 2018 sleep deprivation tour. Water temps were up to the mid 50's from this weeks weather and we were hoping for some good action.
Usually we get a bite or 2 during magic hour and into dark but we only had a perch and an unidentified follower. I felt the strong west wind was making us fish too fast. Fortunately with sun down the wind died. Went back through an area that usually produces and where we had a follower earlier.
JDTrout gets crushed. The fish bull dogged him at the boat but the med action rod did its job. I netted a beautiful 24" Walleye.
We fished around a couple of the main lake points with nothing to show for it. Came into a cove area that has never produced. I was thinking about moving to other side of the lake and the lure gets destroyed on splash down. A couple of good hard drag peeling runs and pulls and master netter JD plucks my New
PB 27" Walleye. The head on the fish was absolutely massive. Pretty sure she would have won the KDC contest this weekend.
All fish were released for others to enjoy.
