FISHERMEN/Thursdays Bust Fishing trip!
It's not too often that I have cover way too many miles from the Point of the Hook to South Amboy, Staten Island and all points in between to find Bait, fish or any form of life. Today was one of those days..... I can't remember a trip where we actually "NEVER" had a real bite!!! Amazing how miles of bait yesterday just vanished over night.
The fish that were hungry on the last of the incoming a couple of days ago were gone. We finally anchored and bait fished in several area's, didn't see enough life to even try the Shads or jigs.....Frustrating is the only thing I can say.
Bluefish should have been invading the bay by now and yet I don't think anyone has caught one. Hopefully tomorrow will bring us better fortune as things can change over night.
