Went back out with the boat later and got 5 Flounder and 2 Bass. Weather was nice water temp 50. Used homemade chum, clams, mussels, garden and blood worms all the flatties were caught on mussels. Had alot of bites but they were super finicky, if I held the pole or bounced my rig they were gone. The fish I filleted had tiny clams in their bellies.

Nice report, thanks.. Mussels are far and away the best flounder bait available, and much cheaper than worms, yet a lot of guys insist on buying sea worms.
.. I am impressed with the 50 degree water temp.. thats getting into prime time for winter flounder as far as temps.. bob
