2 reasons to use floro in my opinion... 1) It resists abrasion better then mono and 2) it's stiffer which keeps your hooks away from and riding back on your line and tangling in it.

Having said this, I use floro on the hook leaders only and my shock leader is regular mono. Some people are using 60, I'm using 50...
