Not so sure about that... First of all why hang 4 motors off the back of your boat if you can get away with 2 larger inboards? Secondly inboards, especially diesels can run thousands of hours with out any major failures.

Having said that, outboards have come a long way but based on some of the junk they put out on the market in the late 90s/early 2000s, there was lots of room for improvement.

Outboards certainly do have their place but in my opinion, a 38 foot Sportfisher is not one of them. Unless of course you got that kinda cash
