Managed to wiggle my way out of work early on Friday. Got the boat hooked up and to the marina around 2pm. No weekend fishing for me due two of my best buds and NJF members MikeyTopaz and Bling306 getting married on the SAME DAMN DAY (not to each other
). Congrats boys to you and your beautiful wives!
Anyway, got on the lake to a full marina of those pesky bass boys prepping for a tournament. Good thing they stay away from the deep water where the real fish roam. Found the target species but getting them to chew was an effort. Managed a ton of angry White Perch with some Bluegills, Catfish, Hybrid and Walleye thrown in to make things interesting. Surface temp was still 71-72 degrees, so hopefully these cooler days and nights get things going soon.
