Default Keyport Seahawk - Sunday, Bay Fluking...Scraping by

Scraping by...that's the best i can describe the fluke fishing sunday haha. Never had to work so hard for a few 18-19" fish. Dogfish everywhere, back, mid, mouth whole bay every spot we hit just infested with them...

We messed with some cocktail blues in the back and i ended up getting surprised by a small cownose ray.

The fluking was really tough. We bucktailed with different colors and tipped with different baits. Drifts seemed great and John nailed a nice 19.5" keeper first drop! after that, nothing for a while then a short here or there.

Finally we changed our target grounds and luckily picked up 2 more keepers but that was over the course of a few hours. Ended up with 10 fluke, 3 keepers 18-19.5" between two of us bucktailing. chartreuse and yellow seemed to be preferred.

did a cool photo edit though, happy 4th of july guys!
