Default Annual June Shark Trip

The annual June shark trip this year where I was actually able to go after missing a couple. Beautiful weather, bit sporty at first but sunny and plenty of drift with winds. Fished south on a nice Steiger boat with the 5 man crew. Had heard reports of browns caught along the beaches but we were targeting for Mako. Headed out to 28 mile wreck and set out baits and slick.. Sat and waited and watched a knuckle head troll into slick and then call us to ask if we were sharking... He did it to next boat also...joker. Didn't get ant bites, watched a remora for a bit play with our baits. Winds/sea settled down nicely for a quick ride back. We went, we tried had some good laughs and listened to some guys out on the tip of the Cigar not knowing what they had caught, is it a bonita, false albacore, skipjack???? Did get to see a few sea turtles and several pods of bunker on way in and out. No reports of tuna south yet. ( at least where we were)
