Summer smallies should stay on the docket!

I live 7 min from farrington. It's heavily overfished by church lane. I used to hit the shorelines throwing spinnerbaits, frogs and soft plastics but haven't in about 3 years. I caught largemouth to 5 lbs in there and pickerel to the mid to high 20s in length. All along weed edges and in the pads. There used to be a ton of golden shiners in there but the Russians slaughtered them by the metric ton in colder months. I mean 28 to 34 qt coolers filled to the top with them plus whatever else they caught. It Was sad to witness.

There also used to be a great population of white and yellow perch. Crappie too. But again, wiped out. Your chances of catching a pike in there are worse than the millstone lol.

All in all, prob an OK lmb lake. Prob still some toads lurking in there. Get there before sun up and plan to be done by 11-12. Or drop in around 530-6 pm and fish into the dark. Black jitterbugs and buzzbaits would likely elicit strikes.

Hope this helps.
