I think all of the braids are pretty equal since they're all made from the same plastic fibers, especially when you get into the higher tests like 20 to 50 lb. For depths up to 200', i wouldn't go above 30lb. The stuff is incredibly hard to break off at that test and higher is even harder. One of the best parts about braid is that it lasts multiple seasons, if you're a guy who fishes once or twice a week. You'll notice after a while that the tag end will become worn, so here's what i do at the end of every season. I remove all of the braid by winding it on to another reel. Then I wind it on to a third reel and then wind it back onto the original reel. You now have fresh line on your reel. It's a little bit of work, but braid is too expensive to discard after only one season like mono.
