I only fished RV with a boat, BUT let me tell you, on any given weekend, you can find at least 20+ people fishing from the shoreline, and catching plenty of fish. I'm sorry, I'm not much help to you, but trust me, this is a great board with a bunch of great guy's that are always willing to help another fisherman out. I will tell you this, if your targeting Lakers/ Browns, you have just as much a chance to catch fish then a guy on a boat. I have seen a lot of big Lakers caught from the shore. GOOD LUCK.
