Lady m charters / open boat tog
(SUNDAY) Today we ran our open boat Tog trip and had to work hard to put fish in the boat. We hit four drops for the day with two of them being o.k. with keepers and shorts, there was also some Scup, and Sea Bass as well. Andrew D and Frank had the hot hands today catching 7 keepers each (orl) and everyone else down from there.
(Monday) This A.M was another open boat Tog trip and we were greeted with a stiff NE wind and a mad sea. We decided to stay close off the East beach to be more protected then to be off the beach. We hit a few wrecks in the area and it was slow with just a few keepers and some shorts. It is now getting late and oh boy thought it was going be one of those days. The wind flopped out and the seas calmed down and with just a little time left we said lets go for it and took the steam off and glad we did. As soon as we got anchored up we had steady life for the next two hours with keepers and shorts coming up with a few on at a time. There was several limits around the boat in a short time.I always say it is never how you start but how you finish up. These trips are sailing from Brooklyn to we return back to N.J on NOV 15th.
