There is no replacement for displacement ! Cost of boats is not so much dock fees but condition of hulls , engines etc is ur real,cost of operation . Dock , insurance , storage would be fixed unknown cost of boat n engine repairs are the real fly in the ointment .
If u can do a lot of ur own work u can save however marine supplies are costly & so is good labor !
If one boat is in considerably better shape than ur choice is easy , both about equal then choice is yours , a good survey from a reputable surveyor can certainly save money in long run .
