You do know all those species are native to areas that very simular climates. Parakeets from agentina, gypsie moths from all over Europe and asia, red ear sliders native in the Mississippi water shed right up into Illinois, and Andy mentioned northern snakeheads that are native to China and Russia all of which go through winters just like use. Now Brazil and tropical south America on the other hand don't have winter, red tail cats live in 70-80 degree water in the wild, sure they could survive for a short duration in lower temps but as awesome as it would be no one will not survive our winter unless it finds a warm water discharge.
