Default Great Saturday fluking on RockBottom

Saturday we had Joe Z , Dave, Mike and Mike aboard en route to try to find out trophy fish for the tournaments. Left before the sun came up and we were still torn of where to go and it depended on the wind. Since all the weathermen got the weather horribly wrong yesterday, (never had the wind or seas until late In the day) we went with our gut. We had boats in the distance but none too close. As soon as we stopped it was almost lights out fishing. Some drifts had mutiple keepers, some just a few shorts. But it was hard to repeat the same exact drift twice so we just delt with it. Dave wasn't feeling too good so he fished only a short amount of time-and hopefully he's feeling better today! We had a lot of fish that just missed 18, and a lot of fish between the 18-20 inch mark. Mid morning, Jr was hooked up, rod doubled over and pulling drag. Took him around the boat a little and then I heard him say "wait! Hold on!" And then it was quiet. With the water being as filthy as it was joe, who netted the fish only saw the top fish, which was a keeper. Jr said there was one on the bucktail as well and that it was jumbo-definitely much bigger than our 6lber. He was a little upset at first but quickly shook it off. Joe felt horrible but shit happens. And especially because the water was so brown it made seeing any fish we caught extremely difficult until it was sitting right at the surface. Fishing was red hot and then it just stopped. Lost the drift and little bit of breeze we had and spun in a circle. Tried another couple numbers in the area and decided to head elsewhere in search of a drift and some life. Hit a few more areas and had skates at 1, some shorts at another and then the wind started cranking and we decided to call it a day. Our big fish wound up being 6lbs even with a couple in the 4lb range and some really nice blue knuckle seabass. 23 keepers and Overall it was a real nice day, great group of guys good weather and an insane morning bite. Looking forward to our next trip with them.

Pictures will be posted later and so far today is going pretty well too
