capt's kevin gerrity and dave bender took tom ridge and friends of ivy town pa out for an overnighter
on july 15/16. we left the dock at 2am to first hit the bluefin grounds. we caught and released a small yellowfin and realized with the other six boats that this was not going to be a good day. we went to the hudson canyon and trolled south to an area that was holding some small but legal yellowfins. upon arrival we immediately hooked up a blue marlin and lost him as he chafed the leader. we found the fish and caught another eleven small yellowfins and released all. we then steamed back to the triple wreck area to shark the night to no avail. at 4am we got on the troll and were rewarded with a nice 70 pound bluefin.
the guys had a great time and are booking in 2017.
