Many years ago, Capt Bogan took us from the unproductive Hudson to the South Toms & funky water like that. WTF-no fish in this water-said readings @ 150'-Dennis & I went down with 12oz-hooked up in 3-4 min & got 90# YFT...Did that water go that deep or were we at the thermocline & out of it? We didn't know or care.
Looking at notes, that happened again only fish were up in it--used 2-3oz & 40-50# YFT...Visibility no more than 10-12'...Guess sometimes you never know.....
