casting an avet for fluke? why? if youre casting you are probably using at most like a 2oz bucktail, with thin line like <20# braid. get a simple levelwind conventional with a thumb bar like you would fish for freshwater bass. I use a quantum smoke inshore baitcaster on an old abu Garcia conlon rod rated up to like 1oz in my kayak.

although if you're casting bigger bucktails with 6inch gulp, then yea ill use the avet. I use the avet mainly to drag big bait for fluke.
