passaic river caddy beat down 5/1
I have never caught catfish in the river. Today I was desperate to fish rain or shine. I picked up shiners and was targeting pike or bass. I went to a slow pool I knew of and to my surprise the catfish bite was on! I was hooking channel cats one after the other. The biggest was about four pounds. I ended up hooking eight in the same spot lol. All healthy fish and safely released. I never target these fish but today was a lot of fun. Especially in this nasty old weather where nothing else was biting.
