This time of year Shark River is your best bet, if you want flounders... If you want bigger fish, Raritan Bay, but they usually start to hit several weeks after Shark River.. The bay flounder bite is best at about the time the river is fading... If you want to fish for flounder this time of year, a warm sunny windless day is best on an outgoing tide.. Often the cold incoming ocean water kills the bite this time of year.. I would fish shallow on a sunny day, on the top of the tide into the outgoing... bob
