11/27 blackfish report
We ran an open boat trip with A great crew of guys. Fun steam to the grounds this morning in pea soup thick fog.
We started on the reef with conditions that sucked. Couldn't hold tight on piece and with a slack tide we headed south. Great move. It took a while to get them chewing but when they decided to eat it was lights out. Fished in tee shirts today and never turned the heat on in the cabin.
We wound up a few Short of a limit but everyone figured out the scratch bite and was catching. Some had a limit. Some had a double limit. Orl. Some only had a few. They ate greenies, whites, Asians and hermits. Didn't matter what you put down.
When that bite slowed up we moved to deeper waters to experiment and caught fish on two different drops in 70 ft of water.
Stopped on birds and caught some bass on the way in.
I am booked both Saturday and Sunday but have some dates open for next week.
