Default Re: Striper migration?

Guessing where to fish is part of the game although good friends and good research make it easier to find where to find the fish. We all saw the schools of bunkers in the "Bight" all summer and hoped they would still be around in Sept. and Oct. They stayed and the bass found them. But, where did the bass come from? The big body of bass that showed up off Mantoloking and Seaside just appeared out of nowhere. In the meantime, there was no mention of that same school of bass making an appearance in the weeks before anywhere from the Hook to Manasquan. Did they make a bee line from Montauk or Block Island to Mantoloking? Are there more to come? Will the adult bunkers hug the shore on their way south? There are too many questions without enough answers. Let's hope that if there are more to come, that they migrate inside the three mile limit. The closer we get to December, fewer boats will still be in the water. So, if it's going to happen, let it happen soon. After the first week in December, I'll be strictly fishing from the beach.
