[Papasown]

We have been cast netting them for several years at the top of the Manasquan. I thought they may be juvenile pompano, as my friend also caught an 8# just the same in the river, and the adult looks like a pompano. We are also netting another southern species that swims with the peanuts and mullets. This one has black and white vertical stripes, with hump on head and an inferior mouth like a king fish. They are approx. 3-6inches now. I'm thinking sheepshead.
