Re: knots
The Palomar has one of the highest breaking strengths of all fishing knots when tied correctly. Many do not tie it properly though. Any overlapping when cinching down the knot weakens it's strength considerably. Overlap equates to digging and will eventually wear your connection thin.
And always check them knots!
