I went through ALONE at the age of about 12 or 13. [60 now]. I was only up to my stomach or so, thank God my feet could still touch bottom in the muck..
As I tried to pull myself out the ice kept breaking... Finally got out, exhausted but that lesson has stayed with me until today... I will never ice fish again as long as I live.. If I was in 6 fow instead of 3, I would not be typing this...
Ice fishing is not for me... bob
