Sorry you lost your buddy...We are dog people too and anyone that has gone through it knows what you are experiencing and is just plain sucks. My wife and I had our first dogs...brother and sister Husky St Bernard Mixes for 12 and 15 years and man let me tell you that was not an easy time after they were gone. We have Tater a Flat Coated Retreiver mix for 9 years now and he's a blast. He was found with a litter of pups under a tractor in a barn in Tennessee. We got him from a rescue organization we found using Pet Finder. You can search by breed and zip code and many of the rescue organizations post on this site. Here is the link:
