Default "Its Been a While" Offshore Wrecking...

Had my first chance to fish since starting the new job way back in July. Jumped on a NS from PP with Ray to hope and load the freezers before winter.

Flat out, best offshore bottom trip I ever had! We got started at 5AM after a 5 hour steam to the grounds. First and only drop of the day was all we needed.

Slow pick in the dark moved onto a steady drop and reel at sunup. Small blues, knuckle head cbass, porgies, a few Pollack and a nice trigger rounded out our catch. Very few doggies, I'd say less than a dozen total around the boat.

Clam and squid were the ticket. Switched to a 6 oz diamond after limiting out and was still pulling up cbass, porks and small blues easily!

Called it quits early as everyone had enough. Nice to have a day like this every now and then!!
