Re: Otsego Lake?
Never targeted the walleyes or lakers, but the lake can be lights-out for smallies. Just use a dark brown tube jig around rock piles and drop-offs, and you should hook up consistently. Beating the bank with a spinnerbait retrieved fast can yield some bigger fish, too. If you're on the water at dawn, the topwater bite can be sick! The great thing about the lake is, the water is so clear, you can see most of the shallower rock piles with nothing but a pair of polarized sunglasses.
Not sure where you're staying on the lake, but if you're at the south end, and the sun comes out, try fishing a senko around the shade of the foot bridge for the golf course. It's tough to cast under, but if you can, you're guaranteed a few nice largies.
Good luck!

Now the sun is just starting to climb up over the treetops,
And it's gonna be a beautiful day, that's plain to see.
But I won't be around at all, so don't even bother to call,
Cause on a day like today there's one place I gotta be:
