tom and tim cunningham return for tuna trip 9/15/14






capt's jimmy gahm and sean carton took tom cunningham of glenwood,md brother tim of highlands,nj and friends out for one of their overnighters on sunday sept 14th. we had to push the push off time back till 2pm due to a windy forecast. arriving at the canyon saw acres and then miles of endless weed. we could not keep a trolled line in the water which really took us out of our game. we chunked and it wasn't until early morning we went four for four on longfin. later in the day we pot hopped and caught some mahi. we found out that evening that the weed was spread all the way to the lindenkohl canyon some 60 miles to the south. hopefully the weed cleans up and we can get back to our routine of trolling and chunking, with a morning troll. we will see the boys again in october for their second canyon trip.
