Captain Cal Decent Day Fluke
It was great weather and a good day to be on the water .Overall, it was a decent day of fishing and "everyone went home with fish".. The morning started out with a faster drift, but that did not stop the short fluke from jumping on your hook. As the drift slowed down to .8 kts the keeper fluke got active with some nice quality keepers coming over the rail. Charlie from Freehold N.J. put five keepers in his cooler plus he won the pool $$$ with a nice 5 lb. 8 oz. pounder. Mike Klein did not do too bad either with a 4 1/2 pounder plus other keepers. Tom O'Brien took home a bag of fluke fillets. We had other bigger fluke up to 5 lbs 4 oz. come over the rail.. The big fluke are still out there waiting to be put in your freezer. THE SEASON IS GETTING SHORTER, Join us tomorrow morning, we leave at 7:30 am.
Don't forget out Fluke Marathon every Tuesday, 7:00am to 4:00pm. No reservations required.
