Got the boat back out yesterday after some motor repairs. Apparently it's not good to get a swivel, flouro leader, and a swivel w/ clip stuck in the prop of a trolling motor, lol......
Anyway, back up and running I went out for a bit yesterday morning. Started off throwing the frog. First couple casts I had a nice fish "swirl" by the frog but not strike it......
Quickly switched to a spinnerbait and it gets whacked......... But no hook up.
Change up to an inline and finally come tight with a nice pike. Only took 3 different lures, lol....... Little while later I was rippin a spinnerbait topwater style over some weeds and had a nice blowup. Ended up being a 25-28"er. Got so hung up in weeds I had to motor over to em and scoop em up in the net with a few pounds weeds, lol. Finished off the day with a decent smallie and another good fish in the mid 30s. All fish fought for their lives, lol!! Great day out.....
