Default FISH TANK - Weekend Bottomfishing Recap

Hey gang. We sailed open boat this weekend and had decent fishing overall.

On Sat, Capt. Tommy and I had Condo Bob, his son Mark, Kevin, his gf, his buddy Joe and our long-time regular John on board. The first couple of drops were slow and then we took a ride and found some fish that were hungry. Managed to box about 30 keepers in short order before the bite slowed. We spent the rest of the day making a lot of wiggles both on the anchor and on the drift and wound up with probably 60+ keepers on board up to around 4lbs. John had his limit plus ORL and everyone else came close. We also had another dozen ling and some throwback tog to round out the catch.

On Sunday, Capt. Ed and Capt. Tommy had the boat out and reported similar results. Not the drop and reel fishing they had hoped for, but a few of the spots held a lot of hungry fish, but as the S wind turned on, the bite slowed down.

Both days, everyone went home with some nice bags of fillets and the best part was that the guys couldn't stop complimenting the new boat!

We have a few spots left on this Sat's open boat trip so feel free to call or email me to reserve your spot at the rail.

Tight Lines!

~Capt. Kevin

P.S. Sorry for the lack of pics. I promise I will take more next time
