I have an MXL/MC and an SX. I think the only reason to get an MXL over an SX is for line capacity if you are going to fish mono, and even then it is a consideration only for stuff bigger than fluke. If I were in the market for an Avet fluker, I would jump on the SXJ single speed, and fill it with 30 lb braid. Mono? Go with the SX. I would also pass on the magnetic cast control. Instead send your thumb to college.
