I hope more kids take advantage of the opportunity to fish in the local spots because there simply are not enough youngsters involved in fishing. If you're not a kid, think about taking one of the neighborhood kids if not your own. There certainly will be enough fish around so they can have some success.
Eddie.......My U.C. crappie spot is iced over too, but the best fishing I've had there is just as the ice starts to melt. The fish seem to hang out right under the edge of the ice and they eat anything that comes near them.
