Dusted the cobwebs off my rods and hit the open water with FastEddie today. Drowned shiners and casted plugs in a few different spots, water was cold! USGS chart says 33 degrees. Not much happening at all until this weird catch. Had something wack my 4" swimshad, Pike right? Wrong lol. Legit mouth hooked Mirror Carp, my first Mirror. Ugly fish, but it chased the skunk on a cold winter day. This time last year we were crushing Pike, oh how things have changed! Back to the ice this weekend!
