Absolutely NOT! Rules are rules, and if you don't follow them it's just not fair to the rest of the record holders who did. I am sure the guy who caught the fish will be proud of being the #1 lake trout poacher
If the rules didn't matter, I'd just head on down to RVR and do a purse seine until I nabbed the
state record breaking laker they found in there during the fish surveys. I mean... it's a fish of a lifetime, so an exception would be ok, right?!? just this once?!?
