There ain't no Pike in Assumpink.
Closest place in the area for Northern Pike would probably be Farrington Lake, or maybe Carneige Lake.
A better place would probably be Lake Mercer in Mercer park. There are some huge
Muskys (both Tigers and pure strain) in there.
However, since they don't allow ice fishing on Mercer, you probably have to sneak out behind the tennis courts or way down by the dam. I've done this several times over the years and was able to get in a few hours of jigging with the perch, but I always got caught and threatened with a ticket....for what I don't know.
