Default Nice Tog Opener Boat Limit

Got out pretty early on my friend Roy's boat along with Jeff J. Off Sandy Hook we jigged 1 keeper striper, a bunch of shorts and gators before everyone was chomping at the bit to go blackfishing.

Headed down the beach to the reef we set up and had great action. My first drop was a keeper, nice way to start the "season". Morning bite was real good for us. We swung almost 180, along with everyone else, as the wind wind switched to the SSE. Bite definitely slowed but we continued to pick and by 1:00 we had 15 keepers in the box.

We decided to head offshore a little and try another area. If nothing happened we at least had enough fish. The move wasn't bad. We got a couple of 15"ers which we released and I got a 20" maybe 3/4 lb fish. So we brought home 16 keepers. Nothing big but we all went home with a nice bag of fillets. Great day on the water and I'm glad the rain finally stopped and the sun eventually came out
